Here's my second layout out of Scrap That!'s June "Queen Bee" Kit. In case you haven't seen my first layout, you can see it HERE.
Just an FYI: this is the first time that I actually played with Pink Paislee stuff and I can tell that this won't be the last time!!! They have gorgeous stuff that I just want to get my hands on and play!!!!! Good thing Lori decided to include their stuff in a kit so I was able to create some projects out of them.
As a starting point of my design, I wanted to showcase the Antiquity Circle Transparency from Creative Imaginations on my layout. My co-DT Vicki had already showcased it using the whole transparency here so I decided to use it differently.
Here's my layout:
Supplies: Scrap That! June Kit. Papers, Brads, Ribbon pleats, Chipboard Alphabet: Pink Paislee, Transparency: Creative Imaginations, Bling, Pearls, Flowers, Pebble: Prima Marketing, Paint, Specialty Adhesive: Ranger Industries, Specialty Ink: Tattered Angels, Ink: Ranger Industries, Clearsap, Fabric embellishment: 7Gypsies (own stash), Pen: Uni-ball, Other: burlap fabric. Tool: Diecutting tool, dies: Provocraft (Cuttlebug), Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts.
Like in my previous layout, I also altered my flowers here. I removed the center of my Prima Innocence Layered Crinkled flowers, misted them with Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist, and then stuck two layers of flower diecuts with the Bella brads. On the other hand, I altered my Prima Powder Puff Athena flowers by drybrushing them with Mustard Seed Distress Ink and applying Distress Stickles (Old Paper, also in kit) on the petals.
I outlined my alphabet chipboard with Picket Fence Crackle Paint for a bit of texture and to make it stand out more.
I got the black blings (Prima Say It In Pearls Black Strips) from the add-on embellishment kit. I'm not sure how to use those anchor-like blings so I just took them apart and used them as flower centers.
When you look at the whole picture of my layout, the pleating isn't that obvious. Oh well, I just tell myself that sometimes it's in the details and maybe I should just make it bigger and more prominent the next time. LOL.
Thanks for looking. I have 3 more layouts to feature before Scrap That's Big Hop!!!
