For Color Combos Galore, this is the inspiration photo and color combinations. The special ingredient for Challenge #145 is flowers (handmade or product).
Using LG's June Kit Sketch, here's what I came up with:
Supplies: June Scrap That! Kit. Papers, Brad, Ribbon Pleats, Chipboard Alphabet: Pink Paislee, Cardstock: Prismatics Cardstocks, Alphabet Sticker: BasicGrey, Metal embellishment: 7Gypsies, Calling card, Specialty Ink: Tattered Angels, Flowers, Pebble, Pearls: Prima Marketing, Ink: Clearsnap (Colorbox), Ranger Industries, Tsukineko (StazOn), Specialty Glue: Ranger Industries, Other: burlap fabric, acetate. Tool: Stamps: Autumn Leaves, Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts.
I decided to make my hydrangea color the accent color on my layout. I altered the Prima Flowers by applying mist (I used Turquoise Glimmer Mist) and distress ink (I used Faded Jeans Distress Ink) on the flower center using an artist brush. I also applied Distress Stickles (Old Paper, also included in the kit) in the center as an added texture. I loved how they turned out!!!
Handcutting action showcased!!! Inserted stamped flourishes on acetate also for added layers!!!
Those twine/thread came from the burlap fabric. Just in case you're wondering what adhesive did I use to glue the key embellishment to my chipboard alphas, I used silicone/paper tole glue. ;o)
I also altered my patterned paper to give it a touch of blue (for hydrangea). I applied distress ink on kraft mat using ink blending tool and Faded Jeans, lightly misted it with water, and then pressed my paper on the mixture to achieve that background.
