COCOA DAISY's STRAWBERRY LEMONADE KIT

I recently got more time to play with my Cocoa Daisy's Kit. After my "My 1st Teacher" Layout, I think I suffered from exhaustion that made my mojo falter (after all, I made 29 layouts, 5 cards and a mini last May - - crazy, I know!!!).

Good thing though, the Strawberry Lemonade Kit isn't hard to work with. When I got it, I knew that this is one for the Divas, and it shows in the choices of embellishments and papers in the kit - - a little eclectic, bold yet restrained, childish with a bit of whimsy - - definitely one of my favorites!

Here are the layouts (so far!) that I have done with it:

Layout 2: Perfect Pair
Published at Scrapstreet's July 2009 Issue

Journaling: I love you so!

Materials: Papers: Jenny Bowlin, Sassa Frass, Pebbles, DCWV, GCD Studios, Transparency: Fancy Pants (not included in the kit), Paint: Making Memories, Embellishments: K& Company (Cut & Paste Baubles), Brad: Sassa Frass, Stickers: Heidi Swapp (Black & White), Adorn-it (Red Hot Tiny), Ink: Colorbox, Pens: Sakura, Others: Handmade chipboard girl and boy cutouts.

I found extra 1x1 pictures of me and hubby and challenged myself to create a layout using them! The boy and girl cutouts were handmade, by the way. ;o)

Layout 3: Soar

Journaling: My time to reach new heights!

Materials: Papers: Sassa Frass, Pebbles, DCWV, GCD Studios, K& Co, Heidi Swapp, Moxxie, Paint: Making Memories, Stickers: Heidi Swapp (Black & White), Adorn-it (Red Hot Tiny), Ink: Colorbox, Pens: Sakura, Others: Orange Scalloped Felt Ribbon, chalk.

Layout 4: Meet Shanelle

Journaling: The little girl next door. Cute as a button. Nat and Phil's most requested playmate.

Materials: Papers: Sassa Frass, GCD Studios, K& Co, Heidi Swapp, Moxxie, Paint: Making Memories, Flower: Prima, Brad: Sassa Frass, Embellishment: Creative Cafe Strip, Stickers: Heidi Swapp (Black & White), Adorn-it (Red Hot Tiny), Ink: Colorbox, Pens: Sakura, Others: chalks.

I had fun playing with my newly bought soft pastels/chalks. I used the chalks on my HS Invisible paper and on my prima flower. Nice.

Layout #5: Beeware of Little Miss Mischief

This layout is my most fave of the lot. The design is inspired by Bethany Kartchner's "Obsession" Layout found here. I was really inspired to doodle more because of her tutorial in The Next Step, a technique challenge blogsite which I am a follower of. Do check out their site and make sure to click "Follow this Blog" for you can truly find lots of inspiration from the DTs there (Hi Lucy!!!! She's on the DT here, too!!!).

Journaling: The dark glimmer in her eyes gives away her zany plots!

Materials: Papers: Sassa Frass, GCD Studios, K& Co, DCWV, SEI, Moxxie, Stickers: Heidi Swapp (Black & White), Adorn-it (Red Hot Tiny), Embellishments: K& Company (Cut & Paste Baubles), Stamp: Cocoa Daisy, Chipboard: Scenic Route (not included in the kit), Buttons: Creative Cafe, Ink: Colorbox, Stazon, Pens: Sakura, Uniball Signo, Others: thread.

The Bee stamp (which is an exclusive) was included in the kit. Figured it will be cool to add it in my titling.

First time to have K &Co Cut & Paste Baubles... yummy!

I still have lots of scraps left so I know I can churn at least 3 more layouts. Just gotta have more scrappy time (hopefully tonight, LOL) so I can share them with you.

On another note, do you remember me blogging something about my new dream job? Yup, I decided I will start a blog focusing on my travails as a kit/product critique/tester/reviewer!!!! Yey!!! (Truth is, I just thought of it this morning!). I figured I already have 3 different kits to feature there (Cocoa Daisy, Coordinates Collections, and Backporch Memories) and I have another on the way (I recently won at Urban Anthology). I'm thinking also of product reviews (have thought of featuring 3 scrappy tools due to arrive anytime soon!) - - soo exciting! Please do watch out for it (hopefully I get to work on it after turning in my articles for Scrapstreet!), be giving a shout out as soon as it is up and running!

Thanks for the continued support everyone!
