BUZZ and BLOOM LAYOUTS

As promised, here are some layouts that had appeared over at Buzz and Bloom's blog in full picture but not here on mine.

I am a chipboard lover at heart, I do miss playing with Buzz and Bloom's yumminess. I think I still have some stash left - - I'm gonna use them hopefully soon.

Thanks for looking people. I say I'm gonna share some Fancy Pants projects tomorrow so I hope you can drop by again. ;o)

SOMETIMES...

Life just makes you laugh in strange ways. I'm going through some huge changes/adjustments lately and I'm frankly feeling a bit overwhelmed.... then all of a sudden Div (over at Buzz and Bloom's blog) posts this layout of mine which I have completely forgotten because I did it super months ago...

Supplies: Paper, Flowers: Prima Marketing, Chipboards: Buzz and Bloom, Brads, Paint: Making Memories, Opal Dust: Jo Sonja, Ticket, Ink, Liquid Pearls, Glaze: Ranger Industries, Pens: Uni-ball, Sakura, Other: ribbons. Tools: Stamp: Stampers Anonymous.

I guess it's His way of reminding me that things will be okay, I'll be okay. It might not be anytime soon, but I know with His help, I'll persevere. ;o)

BUZZ AND BLOOM IS CLOSING

Read the news HERE.

Working with Buzz and Bloom products is a bliss - - I am really thankful that I have had the opportunity to showcase its products.

Thanks again Div for the opportunity. Know that I'll always be around should you need me. For now, family comes first. It won't be goodbye - - but 'til next time when the time is right.

PUBLISHED WORKS FOR MAY (Part 5) and MORE!

Just an update: I've finally finished 4 layouts out of Scrap That!'s July Kit. I'm really excited for the full reveal on the 26th - - I can't wait to show you my layouts because my brother thinks that they're not mine!!! LOL!!!!

Anyways, I'm still yet to figure out what happened to my Firefox-Blogger connection as suddenly I'm having a hard time uploading my pictures (so please do forgive me if my posts are short as I have no patience waiting LOL!!!!).

Some thoughts:

I'm still waiting for Color Combos Galore Challenge #148 to go live so I can post my layout here. ;o)

Gotta have a play night with G45 papers later (I'm soooo scared, I'm thinking clean and simple just so not to overwhelm myself!!!!)

Oh, clean up first before the play time!!! Gotta put away all the new stuff too. ;o)

Speaking of new stuff - - I have this little story to tell (just to give you an idea why"patience is a virtue" is a favorite motto of mine). I finally received the items I ordered over at Joann.com last January (yep, 5 months!!!!) and the sad thing is that one of the glimmer mists that I ordered was not included in the package (pink bubblegum). I have had no problems before and am not quite sure how to proceed. I emailed the customer service saying that I ordered 5 glimmer mists, the 4 were there, 1 is missing and if it's possible that they ship it. Since it has been 5 months long I don't know if they'll say yes or no. ;o( Still waiting for Joann.com's reply ...

This is it for now. Be leaving you with a layout that was pubbed over at Scrapstreet.com's May Issue. I made this one for the Couture Cardstock Showroom (which reminded me I need to create those flowers again, they're soo fun to make!!!)

Supplies: Cardstock: Couture Cardstock, Chipboard: Buzz and Bloom, Flower Centers: Prima Marketing, Rub-Ons: Daisy D’s, Paint: Making Memories, Watercolors: LuminArte, Specialty Ink: Tattered Angels, Maya Road, Ink, Embossing Powder, Ticket, Film Strip: Ranger Industries, Pen: Uni-ball, Other: modeling paste, leaves. Tools: Die Cut and Embossing Machine, Embossing Folder, Die: Cuttlebug (Provocraft), Stamps: Prima Marketing.

To achieve the distressed look on my Couture Cardstock, I used two different shades of distressed inks (Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain). The flowers were made out of Couture Cardstocks which were misted with ink sprays and twinkling watercolors. The black strip of cardstock below my picture is also from Couture Cardstock which I simply stamped with an image using white ink.

Bye for now!

AS PROMISED

As I promised HERE, here's my layout which won over at Pagemaps.

I believe that every child should have a teddy bear to hug at night during sleep time. I didn't have one growing up, so I made sure that my dear daughter has one (she was the one who picked hers).

Supplies: Paper, Stickers: Sassafras Lass, Chipboards: Buzz and Bloom, Brads: Upsy Daisy Designs, Paints: Making Memories, Glossy Accents: Ranger Industries, Pen: Uni-ball, Ink: Ranger Industries, Clearsnap, Tsukineko, Other: twine, ric rac. Tools: Stamp: Bella Blvd, Border Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts, EK Success.

I'm addicted to handmade flowers lately, here's another using the techniques I shared over at Scrap That! HERE!

I love coating my chipboards with glossy accents. They look more polished that way. I also inserted a twine on my BNB Button chipboard.

Peek-a-boo!!!
Thanks for looking people!

ABOUT A BOY

Sketch#1 by our guest designer Monika Martinson is already up over at SCY!

Here's the sketch:

I flipped the sketch to make it work for my photo. Here's my take:

Journaling: At age 2, you are very gabby, funny, and constantly on the move. You love to sing and dance and play. You are addicted to anything superhero. You are growing up to be everything we ever dreamed of in a son. Supplies: Papers, rub ons, and brads: Upsy Daisy, Chipboards: Buzz and Bloom, Ink: Clearsnap, Ranger, Paints: Making Memories, Ranger, Glossyand pearl accents: Ranger, Stickers: Reminisce, Making Memories, Border punch: EK Success, Circle punches: Fiskars, Pens: Sakura, Uni-ball, Other: cardstock.

I used here my Upsy Daisy Man About Town II papers (yep, this is my second creation after this one) and two of my fave Buzz and Bloom chipboards. I just distressed my cute birdie with Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Inks and applied Ranger Glossy Accents on top. On the lava lamp chipboard, I used Espresso paint by MM topped with Ranger Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint.

Got to use my Fiskars squeeze circle punches. I topped my circle flowers with Upsy Daisy brads.

After doing my layout, I felt that it was too clean so I kinda messed it up by doing a bit of doodling and splatting watered down paint. After letting the paint dry, I put droplets of Ranger Glossy and Pearl Accents for added texture.

NOW IT CAN BE TOLD...

Photobucket

... that I made it to Buzz and Blooms' 2010 Design Team!!!! Holding the news was soooo hard, the only person I told it to was my sister coz' my hubby for sure would not understand why I was screaming and jumping up and down!!! I'm in chipboard heaven!!!!

Of all the embellishments, I really like raw chipboards because you can be creative with them - - use them with paints, inks, mists, glitter glues, pens, anything or just use them raw - - it's all up to you. Plus, you all guys know that I'm addicted to BNB's cute little birdie (see him here, here, here and here)- - hhhmmm, shall I take it that he likes me too? LOL.

And oohhhh, there are three more Pinays on the team - - Cookie, Bjay and Mia - - so here's a special woot, woot! to them also. ;o)

Thanks so much Buzz and Bloom for the wonderful opportunity. To see who else made it on the team, click here. I shall be updating my side bar to include the blog links of all these wonderful talented ladies later.

Thanks for sharing my joy. Wish me luck on my new role.
