PUBLISHED WORKS FOR MAY (Part 5) and MORE!

Just an update: I've finally finished 4 layouts out of Scrap That!'s July Kit. I'm really excited for the full reveal on the 26th - - I can't wait to show you my layouts because my brother thinks that they're not mine!!! LOL!!!!

Anyways, I'm still yet to figure out what happened to my Firefox-Blogger connection as suddenly I'm having a hard time uploading my pictures (so please do forgive me if my posts are short as I have no patience waiting LOL!!!!).

Some thoughts:

I'm still waiting for Color Combos Galore Challenge #148 to go live so I can post my layout here. ;o)

Gotta have a play night with G45 papers later (I'm soooo scared, I'm thinking clean and simple just so not to overwhelm myself!!!!)

Oh, clean up first before the play time!!! Gotta put away all the new stuff too. ;o)

Speaking of new stuff - - I have this little story to tell (just to give you an idea why"patience is a virtue" is a favorite motto of mine). I finally received the items I ordered over at Joann.com last January (yep, 5 months!!!!) and the sad thing is that one of the glimmer mists that I ordered was not included in the package (pink bubblegum). I have had no problems before and am not quite sure how to proceed. I emailed the customer service saying that I ordered 5 glimmer mists, the 4 were there, 1 is missing and if it's possible that they ship it. Since it has been 5 months long I don't know if they'll say yes or no. ;o( Still waiting for Joann.com's reply ...

This is it for now. Be leaving you with a layout that was pubbed over at Scrapstreet.com's May Issue. I made this one for the Couture Cardstock Showroom (which reminded me I need to create those flowers again, they're soo fun to make!!!)

Supplies: Cardstock: Couture Cardstock, Chipboard: Buzz and Bloom, Flower Centers: Prima Marketing, Rub-Ons: Daisy D’s, Paint: Making Memories, Watercolors: LuminArte, Specialty Ink: Tattered Angels, Maya Road, Ink, Embossing Powder, Ticket, Film Strip: Ranger Industries, Pen: Uni-ball, Other: modeling paste, leaves. Tools: Die Cut and Embossing Machine, Embossing Folder, Die: Cuttlebug (Provocraft), Stamps: Prima Marketing.

To achieve the distressed look on my Couture Cardstock, I used two different shades of distressed inks (Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain). The flowers were made out of Couture Cardstocks which were misted with ink sprays and twinkling watercolors. The black strip of cardstock below my picture is also from Couture Cardstock which I simply stamped with an image using white ink.

Bye for now!

Beautiful layout! I've had nothing but trouble lately with Joann.com. I've had a credit card charged 15 times for one order, I've received broken merchandise, and their customer service people say they will do something for me and then don't follow through until I've called back a few times. I've never had an email answered. Good luck! I feel for you!
