And here are the inspiration photo and colors for Color Combos Galore #148 this week:
Here's my take:
Supplies: Paper: Crate Paper, Flowers, Pebble, Pearls: Prima Marketing, Alphabet Stickers: Doodlebug Designs, Specialty GlueL Ranger Industries, Paint: Making Memories, Chipboard: Rusty Pickle, Pen: Uni-ball, Sakura, Other: ribbon, lace, blings. Tools: Border Punch: Fiskars.
Crate Paper to the rescue!!! I added Prima flowers on my cut-outs (which I topped with Stickles and Liquid Pearls). I also inserted ribbon on my borders (threading water edge punch). Look closely - - I forgot to distress the edges so I just used my Sakura pens to outline them.
I sooo love these stickers from Doodlebug Designs that I also bought the same font in 3 more colors!!!
The chipboard swirls are from Rusty Pickle. Originally, it's just one piece, I cut it in 4 pieces. ;o) I mixed a little of sky blue and white paints to achieve the "Ice Princess" shade. ;o)
This is it for now. Hope you can play along with us (check out the thread and see the other DTs' takes here). Incidentally, I am also the guest designer over at The Studio Challenge Site.
They are currently running challenges related to the World Cup and so for this week the challenge is this: Use gold on your LO and to include 5 of something to represent the number of penalties each country gets to kick.
My layout has 5 golden pearls to correspond to the challenge. ;o) Hope you do check out too the other DT's takes here and play along with us.
Thanks for looking!
