GOT MOJO CHALLENGE #28

Discovered ScrapMojo and saw that their first challenge for the year is to make a layout on your New Year’s tradition.

I was not able to take pictures of my family’s actual welcoming of the New Year (we were outside the house watching the fireworks) so I have to use another picture just to document our own traditions. Here’s my take:

Journaling: Forget anything but these family rituals when welcoming the New Year:

1) Kiss Daddy and the kids

2) Help the kids jump their highest (Gotta grow tall!)

3) Shout/make noise! (Start the year with a bang, literally!)

Materials used: Papers by Fancy Pants Designs (Gingerbread House Collection, K&Co, AAS and MM (Noteworthy), MM Journaling Sheet, buttons, ribbons, Felt cut out, BG Undressed alphabet chipboards, MM shimmer alphabet stickers, MM white on black, Quickutz foam alphabet diecuts (Moxie), MM journaling clear stamp, Fontwerks rubber stamp, Inkpads (Stazon and Colorbox), Sakura pens, Journaling pen.

This LO is actually an experiment of sorts. I sooo looovvee the picture (Look ma! I’m so proud of me!!! Thanks Fied for lending me the watch. ;o) ) that I want to make two layouts using it. This LO is the first one, I used the papers mainly from Fancy Pants (got the paper pack as a prize from the raffle last Scrapfest). I thought I should use the colors green and red to denote the holiday season. The second one is in the works, watch out for it soon. ;o)
