MY FIRST MINI-CALENDAR

We were given a kit (sorry, forgot to take a picture) to make a mini-calendar last Saturday. The kit (at Php100 each) includes the chipboard for the calendar stand, zutter ring, coordinating mini-papers, 2 wing chipboards, cloth, buttons, and 3 prima flowers (didn’t use the two original flowers in my calendar though). April Joy Lim (visit her work at Lasting Impression’s gallery) taught us how to tear and curl the paper edges for that aged look, how to make the glittered heart and the “ruffled” ribbon. She also demonstrated stamping on cloth and the different effects that you can make with the Glimmer Mist sprays, Versa Magic Dew Drop Chalk Ink pads and the Ranger Crackle Paints (I looovvee the crackles!!!). She was so generous enough to let us use her own stash (must hoard the crackle paints paints!!!!).

Because we started late, they made the mini-calendar as the challenge for the day. You only have to make five pages (including the title page). I didn’t participate in the challenge, still not feeling the mojo. I was able to finish the entire mini-calendar only this Tuesday. I basically used tearing, crumpling, distressing and paper cutting techniques so even without my mojo, I was able to finish the project (did I mention I loooovvvee the Ranger crackle paints? LOL). Here it is:

Thanks for looking.
