SCRAP THAT KIT (Part 5) and BLOG HOP TOMORROW!!!
Here's the final layout that I have made with Scrap That!'s June "Queen Bee" Kit (see the contents of the full kit HERE). The kit contains this beautiful shaped paper from Pink Paislee so I made sure that I'm gonna make a layout to show its beautiful shape. ;o)
Supplies: Scrap That! June Kit. Paper, Ribbon Pleats, Brads, Alphabet Chipboard: Pink Paislee, Cardstock: Prismatic Cardstock, Specialty adhesive, Ink: Ranger Industries, Blings, Pearls, Pebble: Prima Marketing, Paint: Making Memories, Other: burlap fabric, crocheted lace, gesso. Tools: Border Punch, Butterfly Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts, Other: corner punch, heat gun.
To achieve this look on my alphabet chipboard, I covered it first with gesso and then applied gold acrylic paint. Instead of airdrying the paint, I heatgunned it to dry. Love the instant texture it gave!!!
Truth is, this is my first time to do this kind of flower and I love it!!!! For sure, it won't be the last time!!! What I did here is just loop a thread on the lace, made a running stitch, tightened the thread so that both ends of the lace would meet, secured it with a knot and topped it with the Bella Brad and I'm done!!! I was also able to use the Pink Paislee ribbon pleats as an additional flower layer.
Another lace flower, this time minus the ribbon pleats. The pearls and blings are also part of the Scrap That! June Queen Bee Kit.
Thanks for looking. Do come back tomorrow for Scrap That's Blog Hop!!!
