AAM SWEET SPRING DT BLOG HOP

Welcome to AAM's Sweet Spring DT Blog Hop! The blog hop will officially go live on April 7th and will run through April 21st.

If you are already blog hopping with us, you probably got to my blog from Siobhan (our fab guest DT), but if not and you want to play along and win prizes, head on to the AAM's blog to start!!!

The current challenge revolves around the theme "Self-Improvement: Your Biggest Flaw". This is the layout that I created:

Journaling (hidden inside the kraft envelope): I always have this concept of what beautiful is - - and have forced myself to measure up to it that most of the time, I end up having short-cuts that are otherwise unhealthy and short-lived. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I have to remind myself that it is in the imperfections that real beauty shines through. Got to embrace the not so perfect me. February 2010.

Supplies: Papers: Webster's Pages, Alphabet stickers: Webster's Pages, Jenni Bowlin Studio, Pearl centers and fabric heart embellishment: All About Scrapbooking, Flowers: Prima Marketing, Paint: Making Memories, Sparkle mod podge glue: Plaid, Pearl pin: Maya Road, Stamps: Autumn Leaves, Watercolors: LuminArte, Other: Sand, kraft envelope, lace, corrugated board.

I still don't have that coarse gel medium so I improvised - - I used sand (which I first used here and got featured over at Bella Blvd). It turned out sparkly - - all thanks to Sparkle Mod Podge which I used not only as a sealer but also as a paint extender!!!

Lots of handcutting actions, details and dimensions in this Webster's number. (I pray my master Iris approves. ;o))

I will be offering a prize on April 21st at the end of the blog hop. Here is how to enter:
Each person can receive up to 8 entries.
One comment per person= 1 entry.
Become a follower of my blog= 2 entries.
Complete the AAM challenge (must be a new project) and link it up here by April 20th = 5 entries.

I will pick a winner randomly on April 21st. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate from Cocoa Daisy. Do link up your entry over at AAM's blog as well as aside from my giveaway, a yummy kit from Treasury of Memories is up for grabs!!!

Whew!!! I won't hold you for long - - time to get going coz' your next stop is Michelle!!!

Enjoy hopping, winning prizes, and being inspired!!! Hope you'll play along with us!!!!
